Senior Data Scientist

We are looking for a Data Scientist to analyze large amounts of raw information to find patterns that will help improve our company. We will rely on you to build data products to extract valuable business insights.

In this role,You will help our company analyze trends in complex real-world data to make better decisions. To succeed in this role, You will be expected to  solve complex analytical problems both independently, and as part of a team. The role requires strong theoretical knowledge of mathematics and statistics, experience manipulating complex datasets, and knowledge on how to select and evaluate the right machine learning model for the right problem. . Critical thinking and problem-solving skills are a must. We also want to see a passion for machine-learning and research.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Your responsibilities will mainly include,but will not be limited to, the following:
  • Undertaking data collection, preprocessingand analysis
  • Building scalable models to addressbusiness problems and use cases
  • Presenting information using datavisualization techniques
  • Identify valuable data sources andautomate collection processes
  • Undertake preprocessing of structured andunstructured data
  • Analyze large amounts of information todiscover trends and patterns
  • Build predictive models andmachine-learning algorithms
  • Combine models through ensemble modeling
  • Present information using datavisualization techniques
  • Propose solutions and strategies tobusiness challenges
  • Collaborate with engineering and productdevelopment teams

 Requiredqualifications & skills:

  • Proven experience as a Data Scientist
  • Experience in data mining
  • Understanding of machine-learning andoperations research
  • Knowledge of SQL and python
  • Previous knowledge of at least one popularpython-based machine learning frameworks
  • Experience using business intelligencetools (e.g., Tableau) and data frameworks (e.g., Spark) would be ideal
  • Analytical mind and business acumen
  • Strong math skills (e.g., statistics,algebra)
  • Excellent communication and presentationskills
  • Experience in one of the following fieldswould be ideal - risk modeling, credit scoring, fraud detection, etc.
